Lanna International School

Lanna International School

British curriculum, preK-13, in Chiang Mai

Lanna International School, Chiang Mai, Thailand provides a quality international standard education, from Nursery through to Year 13, based on the British curriculum. Lanna was founded by Paul E. DeMuth in 1993 to serve the Chiang Mai community by providing quality education in a nonsectarian, English-medium, international school setting. From the beginning, Lanna International School has encouraged applications from students of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Lanna's 275 students represent twenty-four nationalities and seventeen languages.

Lanna is the only international school in the north of Thailand to follow a curriculum based on the British model and we are justifiably proud of this rigorous and challenging curriculum that we offer to our students.

From 2009 we have offered a much more complete and comprehensive range of 'AS' and 'A' level qualifications to our Year 12 and 13 students. Our students are being given the opportunity to study the following fifteen subjects to 'A' level: English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Management, Travel and Tourism, Geography, History, Business Studies, French, Art and Design, Applied ICT, Physical Education, and Thinking Skills.
